The music on this album represents my first major movement into an ensemble expression of my Namesong Compositions, a practice I'd been developing over a number of years.

A Namesong is a translation of a person's name into a musical language. This action creates a portal into discovering feelings in me which are inspired by the person. The Namesong serves as a sort of Tarot Card or reading reflecting my relationship with the person, which is a way of suggesting there exists a present tense sense about these compositions.

This also suggests the Namesong contains the possibility of illuminating previously unknown aspects of my connection to the person.
